Pricing is based on a flat hourly rate, and may vary greatly based on the size and content of the site. My current hourly rate is $45.00/hour. To discuss costs for your project, please contact me.
To get your site up and running, you will also need a domain name and hosting, which are recurring (monthly or annual) costs.
For the best prices, I recommend registering domain names at
Go Daddy
I do not, however, recommend ordering any of the many add-on options they'll throw at you on
your way to checking out.
I have put together a few simple, low cost, hosting plans to meet the needs of clients who do not require all the disk space and bandwidth provided by a typical hosting company's starter plan.
| Hosting Plan | Disk Space | Xfer | Annual $ |
| Ultra-Lite | 10 MB | 0.2 GB | $15.00 |
| Lite | 20 MB | 0.5 GB | $20.00 |
| Basic | 40 MB | 1 GB | $30.00 |
For more powerful hosting solutions, I recommend amhosting.com's cPanel plans. Their $5.75 Micro plan includes more than enough features for a basic ecommerce site.
I've used a variety of shopping cart options over the years. PayPal is a good bare bones choice if you're not ready for the costs associated with a merchant account. It can also be used as a payment method with other shopping carts. SecureNetShop is my top choice for a full service cart. If you're on a tight budget, Mal's e-commerce is still the best bargain on the internet. While it does not offer all of the features of SecureNetShop, it is a good, solid, basic cart with a secure server at an incredible price (Free!).
If you'd like to enhance your project with the use of stock photography, try iStockphoto for quality images at a reasonable cost.
